Description

Dom Pérignon Oenothèque Rosé 1990 is a rare and highly sought-after prestige Champagne, offering the depth and refinement that have made Dom Pérignon an icon of the region. Released from an exceptional vintage and presented as a gift box edition, it combines mature complexity with the house’s signature precision and elegance.

Tasting Notes
The wine opens with a full, generous and beautifully rounded impression, followed by a meaty, tactile and grand presence on the palate. Its bouquet is warm and complex, with exotic notes of papaya, candied orange, curry leaf and sweet spices, all lifted by marine nuances and subtle toasted tones. In the glass, the rosé shows remarkable breadth and composure, with layered fruit, savoury depth and a finely evolved texture. This is a Champagne built for contemplation, with the structure and balance to continue evolving gracefully over time.

Production
Produced in Champagne from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this wine reflects the meticulous craftsmanship associated with Dom Pérignon and the long ageing philosophy behind the Oenothèque concept. The 1990 vintage is widely regarded as one of Champagne’s great years, and the wine’s development has clearly benefited from extended maturation and careful cellar release.

Food & Serving
Best enjoyed with refined dishes that can match its richness and complexity, such as lobster, scallops, duck breast, truffle risotto or aged hard cheeses. Serve well chilled at around 10–12°C, and decant only if necessary and very gently, as its mature aromas are best preserved with minimal handling.

Producer
Champagne Moët & Chandon is one of the most famous houses in Champagne and the producer behind Dom Pérignon, a name that has become synonymous with prestige cuvée and exceptional vintage Champagne. The house has helped define the region’s global reputation through its commitment to quality, long ageing and landmark wines that are celebrated worldwide.
