Description

Dom Pérignon 2013 in magnum format is a statement bottle: a prestige cuvée from Moët & Chandon, released only in exceptional vintages and known for its remarkable balance of power, precision, and elegance. The 1.5L magnum format is especially prized for Champagne, allowing the wine to mature more slowly and gracefully over time.

Tasting Notes
Dom Pérignon 2013 typically shows a refined golden hue with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose is layered and expressive, with notes of citrus zest, white flowers, stone fruit, toasted brioche, almond, and subtle mineral accents. On the palate, it is elegant and tightly structured, combining freshness with depth and a creamy texture. Expect ripe orchard fruit, lemon peel, saline tension, and gentle pastry-like complexity. The 2013 vintage has excellent aging potential, and the magnum format should allow it to develop even more nuance over many years.

Production
Produced in Champagne from carefully selected grapes sourced from outstanding vineyard sites, Dom Pérignon is always vintage-specific and made only in years considered worthy of the name. The 2013 harvest benefited from a cool, late-growing season, helping preserve freshness and aromatic precision. Vinification follows the house’s meticulous méthode traditionnelle, with long aging on the lees to build complexity, texture, and finesse.

Food & Serving
This Champagne is excellent with refined dishes such as oysters, caviar, sashimi, lobster, scallops, roast poultry, or truffle-based recipes. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is generally not recommended, but allowing the bottle to rest briefly after opening can help the wine open up beautifully in the glass.

Producer
Moët & Chandon is one of Champagne’s most iconic houses, with a history dating back to 1743 and a long-standing reputation for crafting some of the region’s most celebrated sparkling wines. Dom Pérignon is its prestige cuvée, named after the legendary Benedictine monk often associated with the early development of Champagne. Over the decades, it has become a global symbol of luxury, craftsmanship, and exceptional vintage Champagne.
