Description

Dom Pérignon 1995 is a finely poised vintage Champagne that captures the house’s signature blend of elegance, depth, and precision. Crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in a year celebrated for excellent ripeness and freshness, it offers a beautifully layered expression of Champagne that continues to stand as a benchmark for the vintage style.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a refined golden hue with persistent, fine bubbles. The bouquet opens with citrus, white flowers, and stone fruit, then develops into more complex notes of brioche, toasted almonds, and a subtle mineral edge. On the palate, it is harmonious and textural, with creamy mousse, vibrant acidity, and a long, polished finish. The 1995 vintage has the structure and balance to age gracefully, and in a well-stored bottle it can continue to evolve for several more years.

Production
Produced in Champagne, France, from a classic blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this vintage reflects the finesse and structure of the 1995 harvest. The season delivered grapes with both maturity and freshness, allowing the wine to be built around balance, precision, and complexity. Vinification follows the traditional méthode champenoise, with extended aging helping to build the wine’s layered character and refined mousse.

Food & Serving
Dom Pérignon 1995 is excellent as an aperitif and pairs especially well with seafood, shellfish, caviar, and delicate poultry dishes. Serve chilled at 8-10°C to bring out its aromatic detail and creamy texture. Decanting is not generally recommended for Champagne, though opening the bottle a little in advance can help it gradually reveal more complexity.

Producer
Champagne Moët & Chandon is one of the most renowned houses in Champagne, with a long history of producing some of the region’s most celebrated sparkling wines. Dom Pérignon is its prestige cuvée, named after the legendary Benedictine monk often associated with early Champagne innovation. The wine has become an icon of luxury and craftsmanship, admired worldwide for its consistency, aging potential, and unmistakable style.
