Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass with a fine, persistent mousse, this Champagne opens with delicate aromas of citrus peel, green apple, white flowers, and chalky minerality, alongside subtle hints of brioche and toasted almond. On the palate, it is crisp and focused, with lively acidity, a creamy texture, and a clean, saline finish that reflects its chalk-rich origins. The balance of freshness and structure gives it excellent aging potential for a blanc de blancs, allowing it to develop more complex notes of honey, hazelnut, and pastry over time while retaining its hallmark finesse.

Production
Produced entirely from Chardonnay sourced in the Côte des Blancs, Delamotte Blanc de Blancs benefits from the area’s chalky soils, which lend tension, purity, and a strong mineral backbone. Grapes are harvested by hand, and the wine is vinified carefully to preserve aromatic delicacy and the bright, linear character of the fruit, followed by traditional Champagne aging on the lees for added depth and texture.

Food & Serving
Ideal with oysters, sashimi, scallops, grilled white fish, or fine poultry dishes, Delamotte Blanc de Blancs also shines as an aperitif. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C, and while decanting is not necessary, a short rest in the glass can help reveal its subtle aromatic layers.

Maison Delamotte is one of Champagne’s oldest houses, with roots dating back to the 18th century. Based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, the house is closely associated with Chardonnay and is admired for producing elegant, terroir-driven Champagnes with a reputation for finesse and consistency.
