Bodega Dehesa El Carrascal was established in 1962 by the family of Don Arsenio García Cañada, who spent decades making wines from the local flagship grape, Garnacha Tintorera. The winery is located between Alpera and Bonete, just north of the better-known Yecla region, where hot, dry conditions and old vineyards—many at least 50 years old—shape the fruit character. Alongside Garnacha Tintorera, the estate also cultivates international varieties such as Merlot and Syrah, with a focus on contemporary, well-crafted wines.
