De Moya Los Lau Garnacha 2022 is an elegant, characterful red from Valencia, made from hand-harvested Garnacha grown on 50-year-old vines at 850 metres above sea level. Combining the region’s old-vine heritage with a modern, unconventional approach to winemaking, it offers ripe fruit, spice and impressive finesse in an effortlessly drinkable style.

Tasting Notes
Bright ruby in colour, the wine opens with inviting aromas of ripe red berries, cherries and subtle spice. On the palate, it is smooth and fresh, with concentrated red-fruit flavours, refined tannins and a pleasing sense of substance without feeling heavy. Its balance and elegance make it enjoyable now, while careful cellaring over the next few years should allow further complexity to develop.

Production
The Garnacha grapes come from a 50-year-old vineyard hidden in the mountains of Valencia, at an altitude of approximately 850 metres. The combination of elevation, mature vines and the region’s traditional vineyard heritage helps preserve freshness while giving the fruit depth and concentration. The grapes are hand-harvested and transformed using modern vinification techniques, with the focus placed on purity, balance and finesse.

Food & Serving
A versatile red for roasted poultry, grilled pork, lamb, spiced sausages, mushroom dishes and Mediterranean cuisine. Serve slightly cool, at around 15–17°C, to highlight its freshness and elegance. Decanting is not essential, although 20–30 minutes of aeration can help open the wine and reveal more of its fruit and spice character.
