Daniel Sigmund Pinot Nero is a beautifully expressive organic Pinot Noir from Trentino-Alto Adige, crafted for drinkers who appreciate finesse, freshness, and a sense of place. Made in a style that balances delicacy with depth, it reflects both the elegance of the grape and the tradition of a family producer continuing a proud winemaking path.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an intense, vivid color for Pinot Noir, hinting at the concentration within. The bouquet is complex and layered, with the variety’s classic red-fruit charm lifted by floral nuances, subtle spice, and a refined earthy edge. On the palate, the wine is graceful and poised, with a fresh, elegant structure, fine tannins, and a silky texture. The organic farming and careful cellar work bring clarity and purity to the fruit, while aging in used barriques adds quiet complexity without overpowering the grape. It is already approachable, but should also develop nicely over the next few years.

Production
Produced in Trentino-Alto Adige from 100% Pinot Noir grown under organic principles, this wine benefits from the region’s cool Alpine influence, which helps preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The vinification includes cold maceration, 20% whole-cluster fermentation, and spontaneous fermentation, followed by malolactic conversion. Aging takes place for 11 months in used barriques and a further 5 months in stainless steel, allowing the wine to gain texture and complexity while remaining transparent to its terroir.

Food & Serving
This Pinot Noir is a versatile companion to dishes like roast duck, mushroom risotto, veal, grilled salmon, or poultry with herbs. Serve it slightly cool, around 14–16°C, and consider decanting briefly if opened young to let the aromatics fully unfold.
