Damilano’s Barolo Lecinquevigne 2021 is a polished, expressive top Barolo that brings together fruit from five of the appellation’s most celebrated vineyards: Brunate, Liste, Cerequio, Cannubi and Raviole. Made entirely from Nebbiolo, it combines power with finesse and reflects both the prestige of the vineyard sites and the long-standing reputation of the Damilano house.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the deep, classic hue of young Barolo, with aromas that unfold into sweet red cherry, refined leather, tobacco and spice. The bouquet is layered and elegant, with the kind of detail and complexity that invites slow contemplation. On the palate, sweet tobacco, cedar, candied fruit and floral tones come forward, supported by a rounded, silky finish. The tannins are firm yet beautifully ripe, giving the wine impressive structure and excellent aging potential. This is a Barolo that will reward patience in the cellar for many years.

Production
Lecinquevigne is a cuvée from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from five renowned Barolo vineyards: Brunate, Liste, Cerequio, Cannubi and Raviole. The wine undergoes a 15-day fermentation, followed by at least 24 months of aging in large oak casks and a further 12 months in bottle, a classic approach that preserves purity of fruit while building depth, texture and longevity.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile Barolo that pairs naturally with red meats such as beef and lamb, as well as game and slow-cooked dishes. It also works beautifully with pasta in rich sauces and a selection of firm, mature cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1 hour to allow the wine’s aromatics and structure to open fully.
