Tasting Notes
In the glass, this 2018 Pauillac typically shows a deep ruby-purple core with excellent concentration. The nose is layered and expressive, with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, graphite, tobacco leaf, and subtle spice, all framed by the classic mineral edge associated with the Left Bank. On the palate, it is structured yet refined, with firm but polished tannins, fresh acidity, and a core of dark fruit balanced by savory oak, earth, and a long, measured finish. The magnum format supports slow evolution, so while it can be enjoyed now after suitable airing, it also has strong aging potential and should develop beautifully over the coming decade or more.

Croizet-Bages is located in Pauillac on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, where gravelly soils provide excellent drainage and help Cabernet Sauvignon achieve full ripeness and depth of flavor. The 2018 vintage benefited from a warm and generous growing season, allowing grapes to ripen thoroughly while retaining freshness and balance. Harvest is typically carried out parcel by parcel at optimal ripeness, followed by careful vinification designed to preserve purity of fruit, structure, and the signature Pauillac character.
