In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby color with youthful vibrancy. The nose leans toward blackcurrant, cherry, graphite, cedar, and subtle floral tones, with a fine mineral edge that speaks to its Bordeaux origins. On the palate, expect a medium-bodied red with polished tannins, bright acidity, and a core of dark berries, plum, and savory spice. The style is balanced and precise, with enough structure to reward short- to medium-term cellaring. While approachable in its youth, it should gain added complexity over the next several years.

Produced in Saint-Julien, on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, this wine benefits from the estate’s gravelly soils, which lend both finesse and structure. Grapes are carefully selected from the Ducru-Beaucaillou vineyards and vinified with the same attention to detail as the grand vin, though with a more approachable profile intended for earlier drinking.
