Grapes are typically hand-harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve acidity and aromatic purity, then carefully sorted before fermentation. The wine is vinified in temperature-controlled tanks to gently extract colour, flavour and tannins, followed by an extended maturation period—often in a combination of large Slavonian casks and/or French oak barrels—to qualify as a Riserva and build complexity, texture and aromatic depth.
