Contini Karmis Cuvée Magnum 2025 is a distinctive Sardinian white wine that brings together Vermentino and Vernaccia di Oristano in a style that celebrates both freshness and local tradition. Produced by Contini, one of the oldest wineries on the island, it reflects a long heritage of winemaking from a region known for characterful, sun-kissed wines.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright straw-yellow color with a radiant, luminous depth. The bouquet is intense and persistent, leaning into fruity and floral notes with a delicate yet lingering presence. On the palate, it is soft and full-bodied, with a very good balance between flavor and aroma, finishing savory and persistent. The wine is approachable in its youth, while the structure and balance give it the potential to evolve gracefully over the next few years.

Production
This wine comes from vineyards in Sardinia, where the Mediterranean climate and distinctive island soils help shape its aromatic profile and texture. The grapes are harvested for freshness and gently handled, with skin contact avoided and soft pressing used to preserve purity. Fermentation takes place under temperature control in stainless steel, followed by maturation in stainless steel or glass-lined concrete tanks on the lees with regular batonnage, before a short period of bottle aging.

Food & Serving
A versatile food wine, Karmis Cuvée pairs well with seafood, grilled fish, shellfish, light pasta dishes, and Mediterranean vegetables, as well as mildly seasoned white meats and soft cheeses. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C. Decanting is not necessary, though a few minutes in the glass can help open up its floral and fruity aromas.

Producer
Contini is the first and oldest winery in Sardinia, founded by Salvatore Contini and Anna Maria Dessì, and today remains a benchmark producer for the island. The estate is closely tied to Sardinian wine identity and has expanded into a broad portfolio for both the Italian and international markets. In 2022, Contini inaugurated its new winery, a modern renovation designed to honor its history while becoming a place for experiences, hospitality, and discovery.
