Sourced from the famed IX Estate on Pritchard Hill, it combines steep volcanic slopes, dramatic sun exposure, and a Bordeaux-inspired blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot for remarkable power and finesse.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows deep, concentrated color and an unmistakable sense of intensity. The nose opens with layers of dark berries, blackcurrant, blueberry, spice, wild herbs, graphite, and crushed stone, giving way to a palate that is rich, velvety, and beautifully structured. The fruit comes from Colgin’s celebrated IX Estate on Pritchard Hill, where volcanic soils, steep vineyard terrain, and ideal exposure create one of Napa Valley’s most distinguished terroirs. The estate’s challenging topography encourages low yields and naturally concentrated fruit, which is then crafted into a classic Bordeaux-style blend. Winemaking is focused on preserving purity, structure, and site expression, allowing the estate’s mineral character, ripe tannins, and layered aromatics to shine through in the finished wine.

This is a wine that pairs naturally with premium dishes such as grilled ribeye, lamb rack, dry-aged beef, roast venison, or truffle-rich mushroom dishes. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if opening young, though older bottles may only need a gentle splash decant to remove sediment.
