Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc is one of Marlborough’s most recognisable white wines, celebrated for its vibrant style and unmistakable freshness. It helped define New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc on the global stage and remains a benchmark for the region.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a pale straw colour with bright green highlights. The nose is expressive and lifted, with notes of citrus, passion fruit, gooseberry, fresh herbs, and often a subtle mineral edge. The palate is crisp and lively, combining juicy tropical fruit with zesty lime, elderflower, and a clean, mouthwatering acidity. It is made to be enjoyed young for maximum freshness, though it can develop a little extra roundness over the next few years.

Production
Sourced from Marlborough, New Zealand, where cool maritime influences, long sunlight hours, and well-drained soils create ideal conditions for Sauvignon Blanc. Fruit is usually harvested in the cool of the early morning to preserve aromatics and freshness, then gently pressed and fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel to retain the wine’s pure, expressive character.

Food & Serving
A natural partner for oysters, fresh shellfish, sushi, goat cheese, green salads, and lightly dressed vegetable dishes. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary.
