Clos Montblanc Origen 2022 is a bold yet polished red from Conca de Barberà in Catalonia, blending Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Garnacha for a style that marries power with elegance. Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an intense ruby-red colour with a deep, dark core. The nose is generous and inviting, opening with blackcurrant, blueberry, and ripe cherry compote, before developing layers of vanilla, balsamic notes, and delicate spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with a rounded texture and ripe tannins. Dark fruit, plum, and black cherry are supported by hints of cocoa, vanilla, and a subtle balsamic nuance. Concentrated but well balanced, it finishes long, warm, and persistent, with enough freshness and structure to age gracefully over the next few years.

The blend of Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Garnacha is matured for approximately 16 months in both French and American oak, adding complexity, spice, and a refined oak frame to the generous fruit.

This is an excellent match for grilled red meats, game, hearty slow-cooked dishes, and mature cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C; decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended to help the wine open up and show its full aromatic range.
