Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, dark color that hints at its richness and concentration. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of spring flowers, blackcurrant, smoked cardamom, cinnamon, and licorice, unfolding beautifully with time in the glass. The palate is lush and generous, offering plum, blackberry, cassis, and prune alongside notes of anise, vanilla, a subtle touch of green pepper, and dark chocolate. The texture is polished yet firmly structured, with plenty of freshness and tannin to support further cellaring. It can be enjoyed now for its bold fruit and intensity, but it also has the balance to age gracefully for around 10 years or more.

Production
This wine is built primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petite Verdot, sourced from Poetry Vineyard, Twin Peaks Vineyard, and select neighboring parcels in the highly regarded Stags Leap District. The region’s warm days and cooling influences help produce fruit with ripeness, elegance, and signature Napa Valley depth. After harvest, the wine spent 21 months in French oak barrels, 75% of them new, adding structure, spice, and refined complexity.

Food & Serving
This is a natural match for grilled ribeye, dry-aged beef, lamb chops, venison, or rich mushroom dishes. It also works beautifully with truffle-based dishes and aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if opening now to let the wine fully раскрыw its aromatics and soften the tannins.
