Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a ruby-red hue with a graceful, mature sheen. The nose opens with ripe cherries, forest floor, dried herbs, and a subtle touch of spice, all delivered with the precision and restraint that are hallmarks of the domaine. On the palate, the wine is silky and harmonious, with layers of red fruit, delicate tannins, and a refreshing mineral backbone that brings length and clarity. Production
The grapes come from selected vineyards around Gevrey-Chambertin, where limestone-rich, well-drained soils help Pinot Noir develop firmness, aromatic detail, and natural elegance. The fruit is harvested by hand with very strict selection, then vinified using a traditional low-intervention approach. Fermentation takes place in open wooden vats with native yeasts, followed by ageing in French oak barrels, with only a small proportion of new wood, so the terroir remains front and center.
