Cheval Blanc sits on the western edge of Saint-Émilion, on an exceptional terroir of gravel, sand, and clay, which gives the estate a rare balance of power and elegance. The vineyards are planted predominantly to Merlot with a significant proportion of Cabernet Franc, and the best parcels are harvested with great care to preserve purity and freshness. Vinification is carried out parcel by parcel, allowing the estate to craft a precise final blend that reflects both the vintage and the individuality of each block.
