Tasting Notes
Expect a refined Bordeaux red with the elegance Margaux is known for: a deep ruby colour in youth, lifted aromas of dark berries, blackcurrant, violets, cedar and subtle spice. On the palate, it should show a graceful balance of ripe fruit, polished tannins and fresh acidity, with a supple, layered finish. The 2019 vintage is a promising one for cellar ageing, and this wine should develop well over the next several years, gaining more complexity with notes of tobacco, leather and dried florals.

Production
Château Soussans is located in the village of Margaux, within the Haut-Médoc, surrounded by some of Bordeaux’s finest classified growths. The estate’s vines benefit from the appellation’s gravelly terroir and tempering Atlantic influence, which help produce wines with both finesse and structure. Grapes are vinified and bottled at the château, preserving the family’s traditional approach while allowing careful control throughout production.

Food & Serving
Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for about 1 hour if drinking young, to allow the wine to खुल open and soften. It pairs beautifully with roast lamb, duck breast, beef tenderloin, game birds and mushroom-based dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses.
