Château Rocheyron 2017 is a refined Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from Bordeaux, crafted by Peter Sisseck and Silvio Denz. Built on a classic blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it combines depth, elegance and a strong sense of place, with the added appeal of a challenging vintage that delivered impressive ripeness and character.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby color with dark reflections. The nose is elegant and concentrated, offering ripe cherry, blackcurrant and raspberry layered with violet, cedar and subtle spice. On the palate, it is intense and beautifully structured, with dense fruit, firm but well-integrated tannins and fresh acidity that keeps everything in balance. The finish is long and refined, marked by dark fruit, mineral notes and a touch of cocoa. It has the concentration to age gracefully over the coming years.

Production
Château Rocheyron 2017 comes from Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux, where the terroir lends natural freshness, structure and finesse to the grapes. The 2017 growing season was marked by frost challenges, but careful selection ensured that only high-quality, fully ripe fruit was used. The wine was aged for around 15 months in French oak barrels, including a proportion of new oak, adding complexity, texture and a subtle spicy frame.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast or mushroom-based dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if opening young, to allow the wine to खुल fully and soften its structure.
