Tasting Notes
The wine displays a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections. Aromas of black cherry, plum and blackberry are complemented by subtle notes of violet, cedar, spice and earthy nuance. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with generous fruit, well-integrated tannins and balanced freshness. The 2017 is approachable now, while careful cellaring can allow further development over the next several years.

Production
Produced in the Saint-Émilion appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, the wine reflects the region’s combination of clay and limestone soils, which help provide both ripe fruit character and a firm mineral backbone. As with traditional Saint-Émilion wines, careful vineyard selection and controlled fermentation are used to preserve fruit purity and structure, followed by maturation designed to harmonise the tannins and develop greater complexity.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly below room temperature, ideally at 16–18°C. It pairs particularly well with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck, mushroom dishes, hearty stews and mature hard cheeses. Decanting for around 30–60 minutes is recommended, especially if the wine is enjoyed soon after opening, to open its aromas and soften its youthful structure.
