Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby colour with youthful purple reflections. The nose is refined and layered, revealing aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and red plum alongside violet, cedar, graphite and subtle spice. On the palate, it is beautifully balanced, with vibrant acidity, silky yet structured tannins and a long, mineral finish. The vintage’s freshness gives the wine clarity and energy, while its concentration suggests excellent ageing potential over the next two to three decades, depending on storage conditions.

Production
The estate’s vineyards are rooted in Médoc terroir composed primarily of gravel and clay soils, which provide excellent drainage while supporting gradual, even ripening. Château Margaux combines careful vineyard management and selective harvesting with traditional Bordeaux winemaking supported by modern precision. The wine is produced through controlled fermentation and maturation in oak, allowing the fruit, structure and distinctive character of the estate to develop harmoniously.

Food & Serving
Serve at approximately 16–18°C, ideally after allowing the bottle to come gradually to serving temperature. Château Margaux 2021 is a natural partner for roast lamb, beef tenderloin, venison, duck and other richly flavoured dishes, as well as classic preparations featuring mushrooms or truffles. Decanting for around one to two hours is recommended when enjoying the wine young; older bottles should be handled more gently and decanted only shortly before serving to remove any sediment.
