Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the deep, polished colour you’d expect from a serious Bordeaux blend. The nose opens with red forest berries, cherry, pepper, cigar box and those unmistakable earthy notes of forest floor that give mature Bordeaux its charm. On the palate, red berries take the lead—think raspberry, cherry and a touch of pomegranate—followed by tobacco, black pepper and a supple, refined finish. The Magnum format supports slow, graceful development, and the wine should continue to gain nuance over the next 10–15 years.

Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré is made from younger vines grown on the estate of Château Léoville Poyferré in Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, so it benefits from the same outstanding terroir as the grand vin.
