Château Lafite-Rothschild 2021 is a distinguished Pauillac First Growth, combining the estate’s renowned precision and elegance with the freshness of a cooler vintage. Deeply rooted in Bordeaux history and classified among the Médoc’s Premier Crus in 1855, Lafite remains one of the world’s most sought-after Cabernet-led wines.

Tasting Notes
The wine displays a deep red colour. Its nose is fresh and refined, revealing vibrant red and dark fruit alongside elegant toasted notes from oak maturation. On the palate, it is powerful yet beautifully balanced, with lively freshness, polished structure and velvety tannins. The combination of concentration, acidity and tannin suggests excellent ageing potential, with the wine expected to develop greater complexity over several decades when properly cellared.

Production
The grapes are carefully selected before fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks, with regular remontage to ensure gentle and effective extraction. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for 15 months in new French oak barrels, adding a subtle layer of toast and spice while preserving the wine’s freshness and precise Pauillac character. Château Lafite-Rothschild’s vineyards are traditionally associated with the deep gravel soils of Pauillac, which provide excellent drainage and encourage depth, structure and aromatic finesse.

Food & Serving
A natural partner for refined dishes such as roast beef, rack of lamb, venison, duck breast and hearty mushroom preparations. It can also be enjoyed with mature hard cheeses. Serve at approximately 16–18°C. Decanting is recommended, particularly in its youth, for around two to three hours to help open the aromas and soften the youthful structure; older bottles should be decanted carefully to remove any sediment.
