Château Guillebot Plaisance Bordeaux Blanc 2024 is a bright, contemporary white wine from the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers. Produced by the Villeneuve family, who have cared for the estate for six generations, it combines lively freshness with generous citrus and tropical-fruit character.

Tasting Notes
The wine is pale and fresh in appearance, with an inviting aromatic profile of citrus fruits, ripe pear and a delicate hint of lemon zest. On the palate, it is lively, expressive and distinctly modern, offering plenty of tropical-fruit flavour balanced by crisp acidity and a refreshing finish. This is a vibrant Bordeaux white intended to be enjoyed in its youth, when its fruit-forward character and freshness are at their most appealing. It should be served within the first few years of the vintage for maximum energy and aromatic lift.

Production
The vineyards lie in Targon, in the Entre-Deux-Mers region between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, where the area’s characteristic climate helps create wines with freshness and aromatic variety. The grapes undergo cold skin maceration before fermentation to encourage maximum fruit expression and preserve freshness, followed by maturation in stainless-steel tanks to retain the wine’s clean, vibrant style.

Food & Serving
An excellent aperitif, this Bordeaux Blanc is also a natural match for seafood and raw oysters, as well as grilled fish, sushi, pasta with pesto, mixed salads and fresh goat’s cheese. Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary, although opening the bottle shortly before serving can help its citrus and tropical aromas develop.
