Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-purple in the glass, this 2020 opens with aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherries and plums, complemented by violet, liquorice, dark chocolate and subtle spice. The palate is rich and concentrated, with generous dark-fruit flavours, polished tannins and well-integrated oak. Freshness provides balance through a long, persistent finish, while the wine’s structure suggests excellent ageing potential over the next 10–15 years, with further development in bottle.

Production
The vineyards of Château Fleur Cardinale are situated on the limestone and clay soils characteristic of Saint-Émilion, which help provide both richness and mineral freshness. Grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted before parcel-by-parcel vinification, allowing the estate to preserve the individual character of its plots. The wine is matured in French oak, supporting its concentration with layers of spice and toast while retaining the freshness of the 2020 vintage.

Food & Serving
Serve at 16–18°C after allowing the wine to breathe. Decant for approximately 1–2 hours when serving young, or gently pour off the sediment if opening an older bottle. Its depth and structure make it a natural partner for roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck, venison, braised short ribs and mature hard cheeses.
