Tasting Notes
Each parcel expresses a different facet of Margaux, with the common thread of refinement, precision, and Cabernet Sauvignon-led elegance. Expect a deep ruby colour, lifted aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum, violets, cedar, and subtle spice, with nuances shifting from one parcel to another in the glass. On the palate, the wines are likely to show fine tannins, bright freshness, and a polished texture, balanced by Merlot’s supple fruit and Cabernet Sauvignon’s structure. The 2019 vintage should offer excellent cellaring potential, with the parcels already showing charm now while still promising further complexity over the next decade or more.

Sourced from three distinct parcels in Margaux—Le Hameau de Durfort-Vivens, Le Plantes de Durfort-Vivens, and Le Plateau de Durfort-Vivens—this set showcases the diversity of the estate’s terroir. Each parcel contributes its own character, shaped by Bordeaux’s gravelly soils and the tempering influence of the Gironde, with vinification handled to preserve purity, site expression, and the balance needed to assemble the Grand Vin.

Food & Serving
Best enjoyed with classic Bordeaux pairings such as roast lamb, duck breast, beef tenderloin, or game birds, as well as mushroom-based dishes and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and decanting for around 1–2 hours is recommended, especially if opened young, to allow the individual parcel wines to fully unfold.
