Chateau d'Esclans Whispering Angel Rosè 2025

Whispering Angel Rosé 2025 is one of Provence’s most recognized modern rosés, admired for its pale color, effortless elegance, and fresh, fruit-driven style. Produced by Château d’Esclans, a historic estate often associated with some of the region’s finest rosé expressions, it combines tradition with a polished, contemporary appeal.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Whispering Angel shows a delicate pale pink hue that reflects its Provençal style. The nose is fresh and inviting, with aromas of strawberry, peach, red berries, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it is smooth and rounded, with bright fruit, a gentle sweetness, and a soft, fruity finish that lingers pleasantly. Its accessible style makes it enjoyable young, though it is best appreciated for its freshness rather than long-term aging.

Production
The grapes come from 44 hectares of vineyards in Provence, around 30 km from the Mediterranean coast and about 60 km from Cannes. Harvesting takes place from dawn until sunset to preserve freshness and aromatic intensity. The blend is led by Grenache (Cannonau), supported by Vermentino (Rolle), Syrah, and Cinsault. After destemming, the grapes are gently pressed at 7–8°C to protect the must from oxidation, then vinified in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures. Lees stirring (batonnage) is carried out twice weekly to add texture and complexity.

Food & Serving
This rosé is a versatile match for light Mediterranean dishes, grilled seafood, sushi, fresh salads, and dishes with herbs or mild spice. It is best served well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and does not require decanting.
