Tasting Notes
In the glass, Perle d’Arche is bright and luminous, with the kind of golden sheen expected from a fine Sauternes. The nose opens with vivid notes of quince, lychee, and green apple, before unfolding into the classic Botrytis-driven accents of beeswax, candied orange peel, and a touch of honey. The palate is silky and delicately textured, with a lively freshness that keeps the sweetness beautifully in check. Rather than feeling heavy, it comes across as graceful and energetic, making it enjoyable on its own as well as with food. While already charming in youth, it should also develop added complexity over the next several years.

Produced in Bordeaux under the Château d’Arche banner, Perle d’Arche reflects the Sauternes terroir’s ability to deliver richness balanced by freshness. The blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Melon de Bourgogne suggests a focus on aromatic lift and texture, with botrytized fruit contributing the wine’s signature depth and sweetness.
