Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a deep, inviting colour with a polished, youthful edge. The nose opens quickly with expressive dark and red fruit, bringing plenty of freshness and charm from the outset. On the palate, it is smooth, supple, and nicely balanced, with generous fruit, fine structure, and a very accessible style. The finish is elegant rather than heavy, making it enjoyable now, while still having enough balance to develop a little more complexity over the next few years.

Production
Château de La Huste is a small 8-hectare property in Saillans, close to Libourne in Bordeaux’s Fronsac area, where the vineyard benefits from a well-regarded Right Bank terroir suited to refined, fruit-driven reds. The estate has belonged to the Rullier family since 1955, and since 2002 has been managed by Brigitte Rullier, who applies the same careful, precise vinification approach used at Château Dalem.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile everyday Bordeaux that works especially well with roast chicken, duck, grilled lamb, beef dishes, and mushroom-based recipes. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 30 minutes can help the wine open up even more, especially if enjoyed young.
