Vines are tended with meticulous parcel-by-parcel care, and harvesting is typically done by hand to ensure only perfectly ripe, healthy bunches make it to the cellar. In 2021, careful sorting was essential, and Branaire-Ducru applied rigorous selection to preserve purity and finesse. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled vats, fermenting each parcel separately to capture its specific character, followed by maturation in French oak barrels (a proportion new) to refine tannins and build complexity while preserving the estate’s signature freshness and clarity of fruit.
