On the palate, Charmail usually combines ripe black fruit with fine-grained tannins and a fresh, linear acidity that gives the wine energy and length. Production
Made in the Haut-Médoc, the wine comes from gravelly Bordeaux terroir that is well suited to late-ripening varieties and helps produce structured, aromatically precise reds. Grapes are typically harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified parcel by parcel to preserve purity and balance, followed by maturation in oak to add depth, texture, and complexity.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roast beef, lamb, duck, grilled ribeye, and mushroom-based dishes, as well as hard cheeses like Comté or aged Gouda. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for about 1 hour if drinking young to help the aromatics open up and soften the tannins.
