With the structure and freshness expected of a well-made vintage Champagne, the 2005 Cuvée Louise has the capacity to develop further in bottle. Production
The wine is produced by Champagne Pommery, whose historic cellars lie beneath Reims in a vast network of chalk tunnels. Purchased by Madame Pommery in 1868 and transformed into Champagne cellars by French and Belgian miners, the tunnels extend for approximately 19 kilometres and maintain a naturally constant temperature of around 10°C—ideal conditions for slow maturation. Cuvée Louise Edition Parcelle is a vintage cuvée from the 2005 harvest; further details regarding the precise vineyard parcels, grape proportions and harvesting methods are not provided.

Food & Serving
This elegant vintage Champagne is particularly well suited to refined dishes such as asparagus, lobster with black truffle, or steamed turbot with oyster mushrooms. A defining moment came in 1868, when Madame Pommery acquired the ancient tunnel system beneath the city and converted it into one of the region’s most impressive Champagne cellars. Today, the house continues its tradition under the direction of its tenth chef de cave, Clément Pierlot, with vinification carried out at the 50-hectare complex in Tours-sur-Marne.
