Description

A refined Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from the heart of Champagne, this magnum showcases the precision and elegance that Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger is known for. Created as a tribute to the house’s founder, Pierre Moncuit, it combines family heritage with a distinctly mineral, finely cut style.

Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass, it opens with lifted aromas of grapefruit, lemon, yellow pear, and ripe peach, all underscored by a subtle chalky freshness. On the palate, it is crisp, clean, and refreshing, with a vibrant line of acidity and a pronounced mineral character that gives the wine extra definition and length. The Brut dosage is measured at 7 g/l, supporting the wine’s tension and elegance without masking its purity. Thanks to its structure and Grand Cru pedigree, it will continue to develop gracefully over the next few years, gaining additional depth and complexity while retaining its bright, focused style.

Production
The wine comes entirely from the family’s Grand Cru vineyard near Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, one of Champagne’s most prized Chardonnay terroirs, where chalky soils and a cool climate help preserve freshness and minerality. The grapes are harvested from this single site and vinified in stainless steel to emphasize purity, then aged for around two years on the lees in bottle before disgorgement.

Food & Serving
Ideal with oysters, scallops, sushi, grilled white fish, or delicate poultry dishes, this Champagne also works beautifully as an aperitif. Serve chilled at 8-10°C, and decanting is not necessary; simply allow it a few minutes in the glass to open up, especially in magnum format.

Producer
Champagne Pierre Moncuit is a family-owned estate with deep roots in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a village celebrated for producing exceptional Blanc de Blancs. Winemaker Nicole Moncuit continues the house tradition with a style focused on precision, finesse, and terroir expression, while honoring the legacy of founder Pierre Moncuit through wines of notable purity and balance.
