Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red with garnet reflections, this Amarone offers an inviting bouquet of ripe black cherries, plums and dried red fruit, followed by notes of violet, cocoa, spice and subtle balsamic nuances. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with velvety tannins, balanced freshness and a long, warming finish marked by dark fruit, chocolate and gentle spice. The Riserva designation and mature 2016 vintage contribute additional complexity and harmony. It is drinking beautifully now, with decanting recommended, while careful cellaring can allow it to develop further over the coming years.

Production
The grapes come from the Valpolicella Classico hills around Verona, where limestone, clay and well-drained hillside soils contribute structure and aromatic intensity. Amarone is made using the traditional appassimento technique: carefully selected grapes are dried for an extended period before fermentation, concentrating their sugars, flavours and natural extract. The wine is then matured to develop the depth and softness expected of a Riserva Amarone; specific grape proportions and ageing details are not provided.

Food & Serving
Serve at approximately 18°C after allowing the bottle to breathe in a decanter for around one to two hours. Its generous structure pairs particularly well with braised beef, venison, slow-cooked lamb, game dishes and richly flavoured pasta. It is also an excellent match for mature hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or aged Monte Veronese, and can be enjoyed on its own after dinner.
