Cave de l'Iserand’s Les Sabots de Coppi is an organic Saint-Joseph Syrah from France’s northern Rhône, offering an elegant and authentic expression of the variety. Dry, fresh and refined rather than heavy, it combines vibrant fruit, Mediterranean-inspired herbal notes and a mineral character. Saint-Joseph is one of the northern Rhône’s historic Syrah appellations, renowned for wines that balance finesse with savoury depth.

Tasting Notes
The wine is expected to show a youthful ruby-red appearance. On the nose, aromas of red berries are complemented by herbal notes reminiscent of Mediterranean scrubland, adding a savoury and aromatic dimension to the fruit. On the palate, it is fresh and mineral, with soft tannins and a balanced, easy-drinking structure. The combination of lively acidity, red-fruit character and gentle grip makes it inviting to enjoy now, while careful cellaring should allow the wine’s savoury complexity to develop further.

Food & Serving
Serve slightly cool, at around 14–16°C, to highlight the wine’s freshness and aromatic lift. It pairs naturally with roast poultry, grilled lamb, charcuterie, herbed sausages, mushrooms and Mediterranean dishes featuring olives or roasted vegetables. Decanting is not essential for this approachable style, although a short 20–30 minute airing can help open the wine’s herbal and mineral nuances.
