Blending Sangiovese, Merlot, and Syrah from a truly distinctive high-altitude terroir, it brings together the elegance of Tuscany with the depth and structure of carefully selected international varieties.

Tasting Notes
Solana typically shows a deep, inviting ruby color in the glass. The bouquet is layered and expressive, with the classic cherry and plum character of Sangiovese supported by darker fruit tones, spice, and subtle herbal notes from Merlot and Syrah. On the palate, the wine is expected to feel balanced and refined, with fresh acidity, polished tannins, and a rounded, concentrated fruit profile. Its high-altitude origin should lend definition and energy, while the blend adds complexity and length. Built for graceful development, Solana 2019 should have good aging potential and reward cellaring.

Production
Solana comes from vineyards at 500–600 meters above sea level, an elevation that helps preserve freshness and aromatic precision while encouraging slow, even ripening. The terroir is described as exceptionally unique for its microclimate and soil characteristics, and the grapes are sourced from historic Sangiovese and Merlot vines alongside newer Syrah plantings that are especially well adapted to the site. The vines are reproduced through mass selection, helping preserve genetic diversity and vineyard character.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with Tuscan cuisine such as bistecca alla fiorentina, roasted lamb, game, truffle dishes, and slow-cooked ragù. It also works well with mature cheeses and richly flavored mushroom dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromas and structure to open fully.
