Castello di Ama Montebuoni Chianti Classico 2021 is a refined, terroir-driven red that captures the elegance and energy of Tuscany’s Chianti Classico zone. Built on Sangiovese with a touch of Merlot, it combines depth, freshness and precision, making it a compelling expression of one of Italy’s most historic wine regions.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red color with subtle violet reflections. The nose opens with cherry, raspberry and blueberry, layered with violets, mint and a delicate touch of oak. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with ultra-fine tannins, juicy red and black fruit, spice and a graphite-like mineral edge. The finish is long and vibrant, with enough structure to reward cellaring over the next several years.

Production
The Montebuoni vineyard sits on clay-limestone soils in Chianti Classico, a terroir that lends freshness, mineral tension and finesse to the wine. Grapes are hand-harvested, and the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels to preserve purity of fruit while adding subtle complexity and harmony.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs wonderfully with roast chicken, duck, grilled lamb, wild mushroom dishes and aged pecorino. Serve at 16-18°C, and decant for about 30-60 minutes if you’d like to bring out even more of its aromatic detail and silky texture.
