Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red hue, hinting at its concentration and class. The bouquet opens with black cherry, blackberry, graphite, lavender, spice, crushed rocks, and subtle notes of leather and licorice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully composed, with silky tannins, juicy dark fruit, a gentle inner sweetness, and a long, fresh, mineral-driven finish. This is a wine that already feels polished, but it should continue to evolve gracefully over time, gaining further complexity, savory nuance, and texture with cellaring.

Production
San Lorenzo is made from carefully selected old parcels, including Bellavista, Casuccia, San Lorenzo, and Montebuoni, in the heart of Chianti Classico. The vineyards sit on calcium-rich clay soils with galestro and alberese, which help shape the wine’s tension, minerality, and finesse. Low yields and sustainable farming practices support a pure expression of the site, while maturation in oak adds depth, complexity, and a finely tuned structure.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with classic Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina, braised beef, roast lamb, wild boar ragù, and mushroom-based pasta. It also works well with aged Pecorino and other firm cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for about 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromatics and structure to खुलly unfold.
