Tasting Notes
Deep red in colour with vivid ruby highlights, Belnero opens with an intense bouquet of ripe plum and blackberry jam. Subtle notes of vanilla, coffee, spice and delicate tobacco add depth to the fruit profile. On the palate, it is powerful yet smooth, with well-integrated acidity and sweet, elegant tannins. The finish is generous and lasting, revealing a harmonious balance between ripe fruit and gentle oak influence. With its structure and concentration, the 2024 vintage can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years under suitable conditions.

Production
The grapes are grown in and around Montalcino on a varied mix of soils, including gravelly sandy-clay sediments that provide excellent drainage and clay-limestone areas capable of retaining valuable moisture. After harvesting, the fruit undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in a combination of stainless-steel tanks and French oak vats. The wine is then matured for approximately 12–14 months in French oak barrels and casks before resting in bottle, helping to develop its layered fruit, spice and toasted nuances.

Food & Serving
Belnero is a natural match for roasted and grilled meats, game dishes, rich pasta with meat-based sauces and mature cheeses. Serve at approximately 16–18°C, allowing the wine to warm slightly in the glass. Decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended, particularly when serving the wine young, to soften the tannins and open its aromas.
