Casanova di Neri’s Rosso di Montalcino Giovanni Neri 2024 is a vibrant, approachable expression of Sangiovese from one of Montalcino’s most respected producers. Made from dedicated vineyards that receive the same care as the estate’s Brunello parcels, it combines bright cherry fruit, elegant structure and immediate drinkability.

Tasting Notes
The wine has a clear ruby-red appearance. Its inviting nose reveals ripe cherry fruit, delicate violet and a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, it is juicy and pure, supported by fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins and a balanced, elegant finish. Although enjoyable now, its freshness and structure should allow it to develop gracefully over the next few years when properly stored.

Production
Produced from carefully selected Sangiovese grown in the Montalcino hills, the wine reflects the area’s warm days and cooling influences that help preserve freshness and aromatic definition. The grapes come from dedicated vineyards and are harvested with the same attention to detail applied to the estate’s Brunello production. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures, while part of the wine matures in large Slavonian oak casks to preserve its fruit, freshness and varietal character.

Food & Serving
A versatile red for the table, it pairs particularly well with pasta featuring tomato-based or meat sauces, pizza, grilled pork, roast poultry, Tuscan bean dishes and medium-aged cheeses. Serve lightly cool, at around 16–18°C. Decanting is not essential, though a brief 20–30-minute airing can help open the wine’s cherry and floral aromas.
