Casanova di Neri’s Brunello di Montalcino 2019 is the estate’s renowned white-label Brunello, produced with pride since 1978. Elegant and finely detailed, it combines vibrant red-fruit character with polished tannins, refreshing acidity and impressive length—an expressive example of Sangiovese from Montalcino.

Tasting Notes
Bright, clear red in appearance, this Brunello opens with an intense bouquet of fresh, youthful red fruits. On the palate, lively acidity is beautifully balanced by a creamy texture and remarkable silkiness. The tannins are exceptionally fine and precise, giving the wine both structure and elegance, while the finish seems almost endless. Although already approachable with decanting, the 2019 vintage has the concentration, acidity and tannic precision to develop further in bottle. It should reward careful cellaring for many years, gaining complexity and depth as the fruit evolves toward more savoury, earthy and spicy notes.

Production
Made from the estate’s distinctive Sangiovese grown in the Montalcino area of Tuscany, the grapes are carefully selected by hand both before and after destemming. Fermentation takes place naturally, without the addition of cultured yeast, in an open, cone-shaped, temperature-controlled environment. The maceration and fermentation period lasts 23 days, followed by 43 months of maturation in wood before release, creating a Brunello with depth while preserving its freshness and finesse.

Food & Serving
Enjoy this Brunello with classic Tuscan dishes such as wild boar ragù, bistecca alla Fiorentina, roast lamb or mushroom-based pasta. It also pairs beautifully with aged Pecorino and other mature hard cheeses. Serve at approximately 18°C, allowing the bottle to come close to room temperature without becoming warm. Decant for 1–2 hours when drinking young to open the aromas and soften the structure.
