Caprili’s Brunello di Montalcino 2019 hails from estate vineyards in the southern part of Montalcino, in Tuscany, where a mix of clay-limestone soils and excellent exposure help Sangiovese achieve both ripeness and aromatic precision. The estate typically works with hand-harvested fruit, carefully sorting bunches to ensure only perfectly ripe grapes make it into the Brunello. Vinification follows a traditional approach: long macerations on the skins to extract color, aroma, and fine tannins, followed by extended aging in large Slavonian oak casks. This method allows the character of the vineyard and the purity of Sangiovese to shine, emphasizing elegance over overt oak influence and resulting in a wine that is both expressive in youth and built for longevity.
