Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color with the subtle complexity that only mature wine can develop. The nose is layered and expressive, with ripe dark fruit, warm spices, and a delicate woody note from oak aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, offering a graceful balance between fruit, structure, and finely integrated tannins. The finish is long and elegant, with enough depth to remain compelling and enjoyable even decades after the vintage.

Production
Villa Trefiano comes from Tuscany, where the region’s warm climate and well-suited soils help preserve both ripeness and freshness in the blend. The grapes are vinified traditionally and the wine is aged for 24 months in oak barrels, followed by 12 months in bottle, allowing the aromas and structure to harmonize before release.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for rich meat dishes, game, and mature cheeses, where its depth and structure can shine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting is recommended to help open the bouquet and soften any remaining firmness, especially given the wine’s mature age.
