Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Riesling shows a pale straw color with greenish highlights, reflecting its youth and freshness. Production
The Riesling vines for this wine are planted on steep, terraced slopes in the Valle Isarco, one of the coolest and most elevated corners of Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, poor, stony soils—rich in schist, granite, and dolomite—combined with large diurnal temperature swings give naturally low yields, concentrated fruit, and pronounced acidity. Grapes are typically harvested by hand to navigate the steep hillsides and to allow careful selection of healthy, perfectly ripe bunches. In the cellar, Cantina Valle Isarco favors a clean, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the purity of fruit and aromatics, followed by maturation on fine lees to add texture and complexity without masking the wine’s vivid, mineral character.

Food & Serving
This Riesling is an excellent partner for fresh cuisine and delicately flavored dishes: think marinated trout or char, sushi and sashimi, steamed shellfish, grilled prawns, and ceviche. It also works beautifully with Alpine fare such as speck, soft goat cheeses, young cow’s milk cheeses, and vegetable-based dishes like asparagus, fennel, or herbed risottos. Serve well-chilled, ideally at 8–10°C (46–50°F), to emphasize its tension and aromatic lift. Decanting is generally not necessary for this youthful vintage, but pouring the wine into glasses 10–15 minutes before serving will allow the aromas to open up nicely.
