Cantina Andriano’s Pinot Nero Anrar Riserva is an elegant Alto Adige expression of Pinot Noir, shaped by mountain freshness, low yields, and a refined sense of balance. It combines the grape’s delicate fruit profile with a more structured, reserve-style depth that reflects the region’s long tradition of precision winemaking.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby color with a polished, inviting sheen. The nose opens with intense aromas of wild berries and cherry, layered with spice, tea leaf, and a subtle smoky note. On the palate, the wine feels compact and full, yet remains lifted by lively acidity and supported by soft, finely grained tannins. The finish is long and harmonious, with enough structure to suggest it can age well and gain further nuance over the next several years.

Production
The grapes come from vineyards in Andriano in Alto Adige, where reddish clay soils of limestone origin are mixed with white dolomitic stone. This mountain terroir, combined with low yields per hectare, gives the wine its aromatic concentration, mineral edge, and silky tannin profile. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel with gentle pump-overs to preserve color and primary aromatics, followed by malolactic fermentation and slow maturation in barriques to round out the structure and deepen complexity.

Food & Serving
This is a natural partner for flavorful dishes such as game, lamb, roasted red meats, and mature cheeses. Serve it at around 16-18°C, and if possible, decant it for 30-60 minutes to let the aromatics and texture fully open.
