Campi Deantera’s 2024 Salento Spinacave Rosato is a refined southern Italian rosé made from Primitivo, combining the grape’s generous fruit character with a fresh, elegant style. Produced in Salento between the Ionian and Adriatic Seas, it reflects the estate’s modern approach to the region’s long-standing winemaking traditions.

Tasting Notes
The wine displays a delicate, luminous pink colour. Its expressive aroma offers intense and persistent notes of ripe cherries and raspberries, complemented by subtle hints of Mediterranean herbs and spices. On the palate, it is lively, balanced and elegant, with fresh berry flavours, a pleasing sense of brightness and a smooth, well-integrated finish. Best enjoyed in its youth, when its vibrant fruit and freshness are at their most pronounced.

Production
The Primitivo grapes are grown in Salento, a warm Mediterranean area shaped by the influence of both the Ionian and Adriatic Seas. After a short maceration of several hours, part of the must is drawn off in a saignée-style process, and fermentation continues without further skin contact. The wine then matures in stainless-steel tanks, preserving its freshness, colour and aromatic clarity.

Food & Serving
A versatile choice for Italian antipasti, seafood soups, fish dishes and pasta served with a variety of sauces. It also pairs well with young, mild cheeses. Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C; decanting is not required.
