Campi Deantera Salento Negroamaro 2024 is a vibrant, full-bodied red from southern Italy’s sun-soaked Salento peninsula. Made from Negroamaro, one of Puglia’s defining grapes, it combines ripe dark-fruit character with a smooth, balanced style and a modern boutique-winery approach rooted in centuries-old local traditions.

Tasting Notes
The wine is ruby red with attractive purple reflections. Its intense, fruit-driven bouquet reveals notes of black cherry, plum and red berries, complemented by a subtle hint of bay leaf. On the palate, it is generous and full-bodied, with soft texture, well-integrated balance and a pleasant, lingering finish. Its fresh, approachable style makes it ideal for enjoying young, while the fruit-forward profile is best appreciated in the near term rather than through extended cellaring.

Production
The grapes are grown in Salento, in the distinctive landscape between the Ionian and Adriatic seas. Campi Deantera combines respect for the region’s natural environment and terroir with a contemporary winemaking philosophy. The grapes undergo temperature-controlled maceration and alcoholic fermentation for approximately 10 days using selected yeast strains, after which the wine matures in stainless-steel tanks to preserve its fresh fruit character and smooth profile.

Food & Serving
A versatile choice for flavourful starters, grilled or roasted meats, poultry and a selection of cheeses. Serve lightly cool at around 16–18°C. Decanting is not essential, although a brief opening before serving can help the wine’s ripe fruit and subtle herbal notes express themselves.
