Caiarossa Toscana 2017 is a distinctive Super Tuscan from Riparbella in Alta Maremma, shaped by biodynamic farming and a remarkable coastal-mountain setting. Planted across 59 separate parcels and vinified with meticulous parcel-by-parcel care, it reflects both precision and power. Since its founding in 1998, Caiarossa has become one of Tuscany’s most respected modern estates.

Production
The estate sits in a natural mountain valley surrounded by woodland, with hills sheltering the vineyards on three sides and an open view toward the sea. The soils are a complex mix of lightly volcanic tuff, clay, limestone, and iron, with the highest vineyards reaching 350 meters above sea level. Caiarossa has worked biodynamically from the outset, and each of its 59 parcels is handled separately in the cellar to preserve the character of every cuvée.

Founded in 1998, Caiarossa has grown from 16 to 31 hectares of vineyards and is now owned by the Albada Jelgersma family. Their experience at Château Giscours and Château du Tertre has helped elevate the estate to an exceptionally high standard, with wines that can stand alongside leading Bordeaux properties. Today, Caiarossa is widely recognized for producing refined, world-class Super Tuscans.
