Ca'Di Rajo, Marino 2020

Ca'Di Rajo Marino 2020 is a tribute to the founder of the estate, Marino Cecchetto, and a fine example of how the house blends tradition with modern winemaking. Built from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Raboso, it offers the structure of a classic Veneto red with the polish of 14 months in wood.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Marino 2020 shows a deep, intense ruby color. The nose opens with ripe dark berries, plum and a hint of spice, followed by subtle notes from oak ageing that add warmth and complexity. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and well-structured, with soft tannins and a balanced core of dark fruit, earthy nuances and gentle wood influence. The finish is long and persistent, making it a red with enough depth to enjoy now, while also having the structure to develop further over the next few years.

Production
The grapes come from Ca'Di Rajo’s Veneto vineyards, where the estate’s unique location between the Adriatic Sea and the Dolomites helps create a balanced growing environment. The winery combines modern techniques with a strong respect for local tradition, including the historic Bellussera training method still used across more than 20 hectares of vines. After harvest, the blend is vinified and matured for 14 months in oak to build texture, complexity and aging potential.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roasted meats, game, grilled steak, braised beef and rich pasta dishes with meat sauce. Serve it at around 16-18°C, and decanting for about 30-60 minutes will help open up the wine and soften its structure.

Ca'Di Rajo is a third-generation family estate founded in 1931 and today run by the Cecchetto brothers, Simone, Alessio and Fabio. Located in one of the key areas of the modern Prosecco zone, the producer is known for combining innovation with a deep respect for local heritage, including the traditional Bellussera vineyard system. Their focus on quality and regional identity has made Ca'Di Rajo one of Veneto’s respected contemporary wineries.
